Ghost Writer missing paragraphs

This Article translated into Flash for your convenience

It would seem that there were a few paragraphs missing from Doug Barber's "PTSD" article which was reposted here. In the spirit of transparency, they are as follows:

"Talk show hosts like Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh and so many others act like they know all about war; then they refuse to give any credence to soldiers like me who have been to war and seen the brutality of war. These guys are nothing but WEAK SPINELESS COWARDS hiding behind microphones while soldiers come home and are losing everything they have.
I ask every American who reads this e-mail to stand up for the soldier who has given their everything for this country to stand up to these guys in the media; ask them why they don't pick up a weapon and follow in the steps of a soldier. Send this e-mail to as many people on your e-mail lists and ask them to do the same.
There needs to be a National awareness for every Veteran who has ever served in any war. Send e-mails to the Big Mouths on TV and ask them to have soldiers like me on their programs. I am asking you as Americans to BOYCOTT every TV show or host/journalist that refuses to tell the real truth.
THIS IS A PERSONAL CHALLENGE TO BILL,SEAN AND RUSH TO HAVE ME ON YOUR PROGRAM TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT. Otherwise you are nothing but dirt under every soldier's boots!
SPC. Douglas Barber
To all crooked government officials that is reading my e-mail, I hope you are enjoying yourself and maybe one day your eyes will be opened to the master who enslaves you. I know how to fight warfare and am prepared to fight it as well. LET THIS BE A WARNING!! I am watching and I know you are watching me but I don't care. LET FREEDOM BE HEARD."

Not to sound conspiratorial, but does anyone have any evidence that this guy actually took his own life? I mean, aside from a few answering machine messages which I could fake with cheap a cheap voice mod program. This last part sounds suicidal, sure, but not like someone who plans to go it alone.

I've wondered the same thing - there must be some way to find out the facts of this email.

I think you misunderstood me. I was asking if there was any proof that this was a suicide as opposed to him being killed.

you just know Barber is going to be the other Cindy Sheehan for some consternatives... anyone who talks about the pain the war has caused grates on them, and gets swiftboated before long... if the Barber story does get any play in the MSM, watch the attacks on him come from everywhere...

sick

30% of returning troops are suffering psychological disorders with Iraq vets being twice as likely as the rest to have severe emotional problems. Why? Because they know right from wrong. Their orders do not fall into the category of right. The video I did Ghost Writer, has video of daily life for our troops in the background. The most remarkable thing about it is that it shows nothing out of the ordinary. Civilian bus approaches checkpoint. Our troops shoot the shit out of it. One guy jumps out and runs. Shoot the shit outta him. Go get the survivors from the bus. Spend the next 20,minutes desperately trying to save their lives. Go back to position and shoot the shit out of the next civilian vehicle. Kill, save, repeat. That would drive anyone crazy. Hell, Drive.. a couple days and we could all walk to crazy!

GIVE WAR A CHANCE

Reverend X said...

We did. We lost. Too bad 'Der Shiesen Fuhrer' ain't Man enough to admit it. Talk and the World laughs at ya, Cry... Blow it all away. This is my prtoblem with Organized Mediocrity. Don't keep score in Little League, people never get to learn that they just aren't any good at some things.

Trust me the war is far from over,we still have syria and iran to bomb the shit out of.GOD WILLING

Your opinion the war is lost, why not try telling that to a few marines,I am sure they will make you see the facts instead of the hype.

Reverend X said...

I did. Today I told that to a couple thousand people. Quite a few of them are Marines. Not a single one has disagreed. Marines are brave, not stupid. They know why they are there. Our troops know what's up. In the words of the Poster Boy for the DOD, PAt Tillman,"This War is so Fuckin' Illegal!".

Hellpig said...

Only to libs is it illeagal,to the mainstream america it is a justified war on terror,Please!! you are clueless to the dedication of the Marines,99 % of them will and do support the President,I lived in San Diego in military housing for 2 years taking care of my buddies kids while he was stationed in Iraq,so don't even try telling me you know squat about military life.I also find it hard to believe that 1000's of Marines would stand by and let you spew your anti-war agenda.as a matter of fact I stole the phrase "Give war a chance " from a marines bumper sticker.

It is "God, Corps, and Country" and I do not believe the President is on the same side as any of those three. When he he says,
"We fight them over there so we do not have to fight them here." make no mistake, he is talking about the Marines.

I am missing your logic?what else is new.

Yes Doug Barber has passed on. I should know considering I am his sister.

Anon,
I tried contacting your family before putting any of this up, I am sorry for your loss. I am also sorry if the question posed here seems disrepectful. It seems to have been misinterpreted quit a bit. In plain words I was asking if he ws not killedd and made to look like a suicide.

My brother did commit suicide in January. After many years of personal problems, Iraq war, divorce and then our recent lost of our father he could not take it anylonger. The only way out of his problems was to commit suicide. I love and miss my brother very much. He was a good man with many problems. I just wish that no one will look at him as Cindy Sheehan because that is not my brother. He wanted to let the government know that they need to take care of their soldiers when they come home from war. If anyone has problems with my brother and his actions then you need to talk with me before judging him.
Thank you

Thanks. And I am sorry for the indelicate question. As for judgement, I don't have one in regards to your brother. I just agreed with his points on supporting our returning soldiers. Hopefully his message will help to keep others from the same fate.
Here's how I used his message

It is the reality of war and it's effects on those who go through it.
