From Point A to Point B... WTF?

The AP released a video today of the President's meeting with FEMA on August 29th. It is the Katrina briefing. Oddly enough, it shows Micheal Brown voicing concern about pretty much everything that went wrong. It also shows the President promising State and Local government the support it will need. Support that showed up a week later.
How is it that they knew what was going to happen, yet did nothing when it all went down?
Anyone with an answer for this, please feel free to comment it below.

Here's yet another one for the "Bush lied" tracker. "No one could have anticipated the breach of the levees."
Someone did. They told him. It is all on video.

OK rev link the video,I'll go a few rounds with you on this one...

It was the thieving mayor and the snivelling Governor at fault here.

It's linked thru the title. Have you ever seen the National Response Plan that Bush put out a year before Katrina? It tells State and Locals whast to do, what to expect.. Funny thing seems the little guys followed the plan, but feds did not.

Your shittng me right?
the only plan the mayor could follow is the one to the bank

And the Gov was spinning around with her head cut off

Hellpig,
I'll accept your mental imagery of events as long as you have Bush playing the fiddle and Cheney on ribbon squad.

OK all the malfunctions in katrina is the fault of the state management or lack of, they have been there for years these poor planning and levee issues just didnt pop up during Katrina they have been in place and were well known to all.

The aftermath buracratic bullshit I blame on the administration, but this never should have happened if the mayor wasnt lining his pockets and the governor had a clue, the emergency plan which went out the window, wasn't even implicated,it was thier state, thier community they had a responsibility to the community and they FAILED

And for the state line and county and bridge closings, well thats just disgraceful those town/city who denied access to AMERICANS should be SHOT

A few years earlier, the army corp of engineers was given the job of improving the levees. The money was budgeted for it under Clinton. It was appropriated for the War in Iraq, The War of Terror. Of course, they brought Terror into New Orleans right away. Black Water was in the city immediately. Check out Evacuees Testimony about what went down.

well they should have gotten off thier asses and used it instead of in my opinion looking for ways to steal it,snooze you lose.

everybody knows repulicans stand for big business, which in return creates jobs, where as the dems will tax you to your grave to pay for social services to the undeserving which is why our health care is bankrupt, and they will employ 200% more gov.employees then needed which is a futher hinderance on the people,

Wasn't it Clinton who closed 35% of the US bases, which is a direct result in the cost of the war on terror

I may have went off tangent,a bit

looks like Brownie may have done a heckuva a job after all, at least at the outset... after that it all went to shit... do you hear how Bush's people have been defending him? that was just one meeting - the president was fully engaged at all times... yes, he was busy playing guitar on vacation...

No, it never went anywhere near State and local. It was budgeted for 5 years ahead x amount per year to the Army Corp of Engineers.

Unfortunately they are creating jobs in other countries. Slave jobs mostly. The GOP will privatize those Government jobs then end up paying 400% to the companies doing the work in the long run. Do not forget that Clinton tookl us from $2 trillion budget defecit to $2 trillion surplus. The GOP Congress had a lot to do with that, but that was before they had the all the branches. Bush instantly fucked that up. On 9-10-01 Rumsfeld testified before congress that the Pentagon had lost 2.3 trillion dollars. Take a second and think about that amount. That is enough to bankrupt any country in the world. Did you ever hear about it? Lost2.3 trillion... Nope, I doubt you ever did. The next day a couple building s were blown up. 3,000 lives. 2.3 trillion dollars forgotten about. The Constitution really wasn't that hard for them to discard. They dropped 2.3 trillion out their pocket at a strip club one year... On top of that the War of Terror has cost us a couple more trillion. A single trillion would bankroll universal healthcare and every single social service anyone has ever dreamed up. But we blow it all on weapons to create more boogey men so we can buy more weapons.

Utter bullshit. The downsizing and outsourcing our military underwent was the baby of Dick, that's penis to you, Cheney. He created, initiated and pushed thru all of it."

I think if you look real hard you will see Clinton's sig. at the bottom of the cut backs.his signature his responsibility.

I also find it hard to believe with the bullshit bi-partisianship
that dick could get away with that.

I said I went off tangent you didn't have to follow me. lol

Bi-Partisan politics used to stop at the borders, now the stop at the bank. Pocketbook Patriotism overrides everything.

"I swear allegiance to the Bank of the Kaymen Island Trust and to a few dinners on the house. One Nation sold to whomever picks up the tab when we Golf!"
