Alarmist? No Wake-the-F#%@-upist

Nearly every time, in the last year and a half, that I have brought up the topic of our no longer being a free country, someone has attempted to misdirect the debate by contrasting our way of life against China's. Of course it is a logical fallacy. Pointing out the shortcomings of others does nothing to remove one's own faults. Even adds to one's faults most of the time, but that is neither here nor there... The standard misdirection ploy goes like this...

Reverend X- "I do not believe that we should be spending $ .55 of every tax dollar on ways and means of killing other people's children. No matter how often they burn our flags."

Rush Parrot- "Oh yeah... Well in China, nobody would be able to hear you say things like that 'cuz they are way worse than here!! So shut the fuck up!!"

Well, not that I actually thought that I could show these people the idiocy and irony dripping from their hate fueled ignorance, but now I doubt I'll even get the chance to try... If you took a good look at the picture atop this article, you will notice that the screen is mostly blank. All it has written on it are the words,

"Content Not Available
We're sorry, this content is not available for your country"

Well, here is the kicker. That is not a picture sent to me from afar. That is a picture I snapped last night while trying to look up some information about the state of the Constitution and the World. Yes, right here in the Pacific Northwest. In the U. S. of eh... WTF? Yes.. my thoughts exactly.

So, on the bright side, I won't have to go through another round of explaining logic to fools. But, unfortunately, that is a moot point since I probably won't be allowed to continue blogging.

Is this enough proof? Does anyone seriously not see the writing on the wall. In case you can't see it still. Let me tell you what it says,

"Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin"

Your kingdom has been counted and it has been found wanting. Kiss it all goodbye.

Welcome to the land of the blind and the home of the slaves.

A baited banker thus desponds,
From his own hand foresees his fall,
They have his soul, who have his bonds;
'Tis like the writing on the wall.

Jonathan Swift

Freedom of speech has, for the most part, been a farce in later half of the the twentieth century. Our parents and grandparents were the last to actually live in a democratic America.

Electile dysfunction: Great phrase!
